Superstar DJ and party-rocker, DJ YOUNG SLADE is taking over—one city at a time. Last summer, he joined Disney star, Zendaya, on an 8-week tour hitting New York, Chicago and California spinning for thousands of her fans nationwide. Now, he’s the official DJ for upcoming rapper, Jordan Newt. This 16-year old is no stranger to big crowds, getting his first residency at Club RadioActive and rocking events for Adidas, Oakley and Body Armor, as well as teen concerts like Wild Summer Bash in Atlanta and Spring Beat 2013 Young Hollywood Club Launch in Los Angeles. Most recently, Slade had the honor of sharing the stage with his dad, Lil Jon, at AMPlify 2014, as well as opening for OHM Nightclub, both in Hollywood, CA. While Young Slade currently spends most of his time in Los Angeles, he was born & raised in Atlanta, making him forever an ATLien. Both of his parents come from the entertainment world; as aforementioned, his father is Grammy-award winning Producer, Artist and DJ, Lil Jon, and his mother was a professional dancer.“My mom put headphones around her stomach while I was in the womb,” says Young Slade explaining why he’s always had music flowing through his veins. Young Slade’s dad, Lil Jon, saw that Slade was a natural - from him playing around with Mac’s DJ Software - and he immediately set up turntables in his bedroom for him to start perfecting his craft. He won his first ever DJ battle, Across the Fader 2012, while being the youngest deejay in the competition. It was his innovative mixes & splices that set him apart from everyone else. Versed on Serato, as well as vinyl, Traktor and the Emulator, DJ Young Slade is quickly becoming a part of the DJ scene, learning and working with some of the greatest DJ names from coast to coast, including DJ Irie, DJ Felli Fel, Eric D-Lux, Z-Trip, Hapa, Mr. Choc, Tina T, D-Styles and Davey Rockit just to name a few. DJ Young Slade is continuously working hard in the lab honing his craft, perfecting his edits and mixes, exploring new scratch techniques and continually checking out new technology. With an array of hits and underground tracks already in his crates, including hip-hop, R&B, reggaeton & moombahton, house, electro, trap and pop & rock, Young Slade keeps the dance floors turnt up. There’s no doubt this kid is doing things that many deejays work their whole lives for.
